Tears in a Bottle

"Psalm 56:8 (Put My Tears in Your Bottle)"

I have found great comfort in this verse as it is written in the New King James version:

"You number my wanderings;
Put my tears into Your bottle;
Are they not in Your book?"

If you're tempted to think that God does not care about your grief, think again. Jesus came down to earth and got to experience the human life in all its misery. He knows what we're dealing with, and he knows about our grief. In fact, prophecies about Jesus call him "a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief" (Isaiah 53:3). It's comforting to know that in our darkest, most painful times, we are not alone in what we are experiencing. Someone notices...and that same Someone cares.
